Leaders-in-Training (LIT) Program
Tapawingo Trails Camp’s Leaders-in-Training (LIT) program is for girls ages 13 and 14-yrs old. Tailor-made activities challenge young women to take on an active leadership role during camp that will help prepare them for the future. The mentorship program, along with participation in cooperative activities, as well as in spiritual and cultural formation classes allows LIT’s to deepen in self- knowledge, friendship, and in faith. Many LITs later apply for staff positions at Tapawingo Trails Camp having received this excellent training.
Leaders-in-Training (LITs) must complete an application form in addition to registering as a camper. This essay contains the requirement to write a 250-word essay describing why the candidate would like to be a LIT. The essay must accompany the application for it to be considered. Please refer to the LIT Application Form for the essay parameters. The LIT Director will be conducting a phone interview with each applicant between, dates to be TBA.
